Andrew "Andy" Ebert is a native Floridian with over three decades of experience in Florida First Coast real estate. He has been part of the Greater Jacksonville community since 1988. In addition to his long career in Residential Real Estate Appraisal, Andy has also worked in Commercial Real Estate Sales and Leasing, Residential Real Estate Brokerage, and Consultation Services to real estate investors.
EDUCATION – Andy studied at the University of North Florida in the late 1980s where he was on UNF's inaugural college baseball team in 1988. He graduated from UNF in 1989 with a BBA degree in Real Estate and Urban Development. While still finishing his degree, Andy was already active in the Jacksonville Real Estate Market as an intern with CBRE Commercial Real Estate, the global leader in real estate services and investments.
EARLY CAREER – After graduation, Andy continued his work with CBRE where his responsibilities included gathering commercial real estate data on emerging and existing office space in Downtown Jacksonville and surrounding suburban areas. The data collected was used to help CBRE produce local publications on trending and emerging markets, as well as to assist sales agents in securing tenant renewals, representation, and sales opportunities.
In February of 1991, Andy began working with the Cantrell Weaver Company as a sales representative where he specialized in office leasing and sales throughout the greater Jacksonville area. While at Cantrell Weaver he also worked with negotiating existing lease renewals and new tenant representation.
Five months later, in July of 1991, Andy began working in residential real appraisal at T.F. Petit & Associates. The company's president, Ted Petit, Sr., who founded the firm in 1972, had a deep knowledge of Jacksonville area real estate appraisal and became Andy's mentor (and later father-in-law). In addition to responsibilities with appraising property for company held clients (primarily in Duval, Clay, and St. Johns Counties,) Andy also worked closely with Mr. Petit in preparing VA and FHA Appraisal assignments and became an FHA Certified Appraiser in 1996. In 2001 Andy and two other employees bought the business and formed the partnership of Petit Jones Ebert, Inc.
BEACHSIDE APPRAISAL GROUP – In February of 2007, Andy founded Beachside Appraisal Group to serve the Florida First Coast market in residential appraisals. He specializes in the valuation of Single Family Homes, Condominiums, 2-4 Family Residences, and Vacant Property. His specialization includes Tax Appeal, Divorce Settlement, Estate Liquidation, and Relocation appraisals. Andy also provides consulting for individual home owners, bank representatives, mortgage brokers, residential real estate brokers, and investors. Further expanding his breadth of experience in the local real estate market, Andy has been a Licensed Realtor for over two decades and a Licensed Real Estate Broker since 2011 when he established Ebert Real Estate in the Jacksonville Beach area.
